How to setup Email Account with Outlook Express - A simple presentation
Make sure before starting:
- If your domain name has been loaded. If not, then your e-mail account won't work.
- You have setup your email accounts at yourdomain.com/cpanel
Now you are ready to create your e-mail accounts.
- Open Outlook Express
- Go to "Tools" and click on "Accounts"
- A "Internet Accounts" window will pop up. Click on "Add", then click on "Mail".
- This will start up Internet Connection Wizard. Type your name in the Display name field and click Next at the bottom right.
- Type your Email Address in the input box. This need not be your "username@yourdomain.com" (You can use pathi@yourdomain.com, webmaster@yourdomain.com, etc....) Then click Next.
- In the Incoming Mail [POP3] field, type mail.yourdomain.com
In the outgoing Mail [SMTP] field, type mail.yourdomain.com
[for eg: if your domain name is greatindia.com, then you would put "mail.greatindia.com" and click Next.
- Now enter your username that you have setup from cpanel using the format : "yourusername@yourdomain.com"
- The final step is to click Finish and your process is over.
